§ 48. Compensation of clerk of the corporation [circuit] court.

For his services in connection with any proceedings under the foregoing sections relating to the initiative, referendum and recall, the clerk of the corporation [circuit] court of said city shall be paid by the city such reasonable fees as are now or may hereafter be provided by law for similar services in other cases.
