§ 16-5. Authority of city manager to accept and expend certain gifts to city.

(a)

The city manager, on behalf of the city, is hereby authorized to accept gifts to the city in amounts not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) and is hereby authorized to expend such gifts for the purpose or purposes for which the same are given to the city.

(b)

In addition, the city manager is hereby authorized to accept gifts in excess of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), when specifically authorized by council and upon such terms and conditions as the council shall prescribe.
