§ 45.1-7. Civil action.

  • (1)

    If at any time after a complaint has been filed, the city attorney has reasonable cause to believe that appropriate civil action to preserve the status quo or to prevent irreparable harm is advisable, he is hereby authorized-to file suit in the circuit court of the city for the purpose of preserving such status quo or preventing such irreparable harm.

    (2)

    If, after investigating a complaint filed under this chapter, the city attorney has reasonable cause to believe that there has been a violation of this chapter, he is authorized to file suit in the circuit court of the city to enjoin such violation.
