§ 20-7. Garage keeper's report to police of automobile stored for longer than forty-eight hours.

  • (a)

    It is hereby made the duty of every person operating a garage where automobiles are kept or stored for rent or hire to report daily to the police department, upon forms to be prescribed by the chief of police, all automobiles remaining in such garage for a longer period than forty-eight (48) hours. Such report shall show the make, style, engine number and state license plate of each such automobile, and other information relating thereto required on the form prescribed by the director of chief of police; provided, however, that one report on any automobile shall be deemed to be sufficient.

    (b)

    Any person failing to make the report required by this section shall be guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor. (Code 1958, § 22-7)
