§ 31-6. Responsibilities as to maintenance, repair and upkeep.

(a)

The department of parks and recreation shall be responsible for the maintenance of grass, trees, plants, shrubs, planters, street furniture, pavilions and playground equipment on malls.

(b)

The department of general services shall be responsible for the maintenance and operation of fountains on malls.

(c)

The department of public works shall have the following responsibilities with respect to malls: Sweeping, cleaning of debris and litter, repair of surface, removal of snow and installation of such signs and other devices as may be necessary to warn motorists of the existence of the mall.
